Terms of Use

Last updated: 9 October 2026

These terms apply to the Skyshot iPhone app and this website, provided by Melih Arık, Tallinn, Estonia. By downloading or using Skyshot you agree to them.

Licence: Apple's Standard EULA

Skyshot is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). These terms add details that are specific to Skyshot; if they conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA prevails.

Skyshot Pro subscriptions

  • Skyshot can be used for free. Skyshot Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription; the available periods and prices are shown in the app before you buy.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the same price unless we told you otherwise in advance.
  • If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of it is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies; you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Alarms and the sky check

Skyshot schedules alarms through Apple's AlarmKit and verifies daylight with on-device image analysis. We work hard to make both reliable, but alarms depend on your device, its settings, battery and iOS itself, and the sky check can occasionally be wrong. Please don't rely on Skyshot as your only alarm for anything critical, such as flights, exams or medication.

Health and safety

Skyshot is a wellness alarm clock. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Never look directly at the sun or point your eyes at it through the camera. Mind your surroundings when you step outside, especially in the dark or in bad weather.

Your content

Sky photos and your Sky Collage stay on your device and belong to you. When you share them, you are responsible for what you share.

Acceptable use

Don't reverse-engineer, abuse or attempt to disrupt the app or our servers, or use them in breach of the law.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Skyshot is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, such as being late after a missed alarm. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring claims there.
