How it works
You don't have to remember anything. When the morning sky check passes, the frame the camera saw is saved as today's tile, with the date. If you also open the camera later in the day with Show the sky now, that's how you catch a sky on mornings without an alarm.
Tiles appear newest first, each with its date. The collage only lives on your iPhone; nothing is uploaded.
What Free and Pro keep
- Free: your last 7 days of skies, plus your streak.
- Pro: every morning since you started, and a 1080×1920 poster of your latest 30 skies you can share to Stories or save.
Why a sky journal sticks
Streaks are motivating, but a number is easy to stop caring about. A collage is different: missing a day leaves a visible gap in something you made. And the sky never looks the same twice: pink dawns, flat grey, fog, the first clear morning after a week of rain.
People use theirs as a quiet journal of a season, a before-and-after of a new routine, or simply a nice thing to look at on a bad morning.
The 30-day collage
Thirty mornings fill a poster. It's a good first goal: long enough to feel like a routine, short enough to start tomorrow. If you share it, the poster shows your tiles with their dates, how many mornings you caught, your streak and a small Skyshot mark. No location, no names.
Questions, answered.
What happens on a morning I miss?
That day simply has no tile. Your streak starts again, but every sky you already caught stays in the collage.
Does it use my location?
No. Tiles only have a date.
Can I share without Pro?
Sharing the poster is a Pro feature. Free shows your last 7 days.

Photo alarm clock
A photo alarm makes you take a picture to stop it. Skyshot only accepts one picture: the real sky, checked for sky, light and angle on your iPhone. Here's how it works and why.
Morning sunlight
What researchers say about morning light and your body clock, how bright daylight is compared with indoor light, and practical ways to get some, even in winter. With sources.
Sunlight alarm clock
Most sunlight alarm clocks are lamps that fake a sunrise. Skyshot is an iPhone alarm that stops when you show it the real sky, so your morning starts with actual daylight.
